If you’ve made a decision to follow Jesus, getting baptised in water is the next step on your journey of faith. Baptisms are an outward declaration of the decision you have made to surrender your life to Jesus.
It a visual demonstration of leaving your old life behind and starting a new life with Jesus.
2 Corinthians 5:17 says “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”
Baptisms celebrate just that!
When you apply to get baptised, one of our team will contact you to arrange a time to chat through the practicalities.
In our baptism services, some get straight into the pool, some read their story, some answer questions to share a bit about their journey.
When you’re in the pool, our dunkers will read a short commitment, then help you go fully under the water.
After you come up from the water (you’re under the water for about a second), we all celebrate! We’ll pray with you before you get out of the pool.
This isn’t the end, though, it’s the start of the rest of your life with Jesus!
