Sundays at One Church

If you are nervous about visiting, that is normal. Most people are when they first come.

Our aim is simple: to create a space where you can encounter God and find a sense of belonging over time, not pressure on a first visit.

Overview

A Sunday gathering usually includes:

  • A welcome and time to settle in

  • Sung worship led by a live band

  • Teaching from the Bible

  • An opportunity to respond to The Gospel or receive Prayer

  • Time to connect with others afterwards

You do not need to know anything in advance. You are welcome to take part or simply observe.

Before You Arrive

You can just turn up, but if it helps:

  • Arrive 10–15 minutes early

  • Our team will help you find your way

  • There is no dress code

  • You will not be singled out or put on the spot

If you are coming with children, there are dedicated kids environments available at most locations.

If you arrive late, don’t worry! Our Guest Services team will help you find a seat.

Worship

We spend time singing together. This is a central part of our Sundays.

You will find a mix of modern worship songs that are sung across many churches today. You are free to join in or simply listen.

Teaching

Each Sunday includes teaching from the Bible .

The aim is straightforward:

  • To help you understand Christian faith

  • To connect Scripture to your everyday life

  • To point you toward Jesus

You can bring your own Bible if you have one, otherwise all the Bible passages used will be available to read on the main screen during the talk.

Prayer

We regularly pray during our gatherings.

Prayer may happen:

  • During worship

  • At the end of the service

  • In response to teaching

You are free to participate or simply remain comfortable in your seat.

Kids

Most locations run dedicated programmes for children and young people.

These are safe, structured environments led by trained teams.

If you are visiting, our Guest Services team will help you check children in when you arrive.

After the Service

People usually stay for a while after the service ends.

You can expect:

  • Coffee and informal conversation

  • Opportunities to meet team members

  • Information about next steps (groups, courses, serving)

There is no pressure to stay.

Across our locations

All One Church sites follow the same overall pattern of Sunday gathering, while each location carries its own community feel.

We meet across:

  • Gloucestershire

  • South Gloucestershire

  • Somerset (Bath / Keynsham area)

If you’re exploring Faith

You do not need to be a Christian to attend.

Many people come simply to explore:

  • Who Jesus is

  • What church is like

  • What faith means in practice

You are welcome at your own pace.
